Welcome to the SPC Arsenio Ugalde II Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship was established in May of 2015 to honor the life of SPC Arsenio Ugalde II and to continue to honor his never forgotten memory and legacy of excellence and generosity. On December 28 th , 2014, SPC Arsenio Ugalde II lost his life in a tragic drowning accident. He was an incredible individual with a natural sense of leadership and genuinely kind heart. He was always striving to succeed and would never hesitate to stop and aid others. Arsenio’s incredible spirit is very much alive hoping to touch, inspire and aid others with the establishment of this scholarship. The SPC Arsenio Ugalde II Memorial Scholarship is an annual, effort based competition. The Scholarship focuses on gratifying and rewarding aspiring, hardworking, goal-oriented individuals, who show good ethics, good morals and desire to succeed. Individuals who show extraordinary achievement in and out of the classroom. This is a one-time award of $1000.00, awarded to two senior students of Cumby ISD. All seniors are encouraged to apply. The main goal of the scholarship is to assist others in reaching their goal of attending college. Finalist will be chosen with two-one-time award recipients selected in May of each school year.
